The new 105 R7000 components are not only optically based on their big siblings Dura Ace R9100 and Ultegra R8000, some features of the top groups have also been adopted in technical terms. The CS-R7000 cassette impresses with its good switching performance and high wear resistance. The gear changes are extremely precise, so that the shift pauses are very short. To reduce weight, the steel pinions are connected to one another via aluminum spiders. The CS-R7000 cassette is available with 4 different levels to be prepared for every purpose and every terrain.

SHIMANO CN-HG601 chain with head pin
The CN-HG601 is the directional chain for Shimano's 105 group. The adapted geometry of the chain links offers excellent switching performance in every situation. The sophisticated design offers little surface to attack even in mud and dirt.
In interaction with SIL-TEC, Shimano's new surface coating, ultra-low friction is generated. When compared with simple coatings, SIL-TEC is a very special coating process. Thanks to the use of embedded fluorine particles, system performance is improved. The coating also reduces wear, driving noise and sliding friction, is dirt-repellent and abrasion-resistant, which significantly increases the durability of the components treated with SIL-Tec.
