The still relatively young British brand Unite has taken up the cause of producing 99% of simple quality components made of aluminum in its home base on the Welsh coast. Thanks to the use of high-quality CNC milling machines and a wide range of anodized colors, Unite products have enjoyed steadily growing popularity since the company was founded at the end of 2016 by former pro rider Andrew Cooper.
With their oversized pedal body with a contact area of 113x102 mm and 8 interchangeable pedal pins (per pedal side), the Instinct pedals offer excellent grip. In the second version of the popular pedals, the axle have been improved and the running time increased as a result. At the same time, the design of the pedals and the pins have been revised. The concave shape and millings in the center of the pedal body ensure weight reduction without negatively affecting durability. For a long service life without bearing play, the Instinct pedals are each equipped with a grooved ball bearing and 2 Igus plain bearings. The black steel pedal pins also ensure a long service life. If a component is worn out after many hard kilometers on the trail, Unite has all the small parts you need for pedal service. The color design of the pedal is special, here Unite Components offers 10 different Cerakote colors - which are unique in this way.
Cerakote coating
Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating that is particularly wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant and generates a very elegant matt finish on the surface. This will make your bike a real eye-catcher.
NOTE: Due to the triple bearing with 2 Igus plain bearings, the pedals can turn stiff when new and require a break-in period.
