TUNE hub rear Fat Kong for 12x170 mm thru-axle | Maxle freewheel Shimano | SRAM
Tune King & Kong together form the perfect pair of bosses. Based from this combination an offset hubset for Fatbikes developed by Tune. Kong is responsible as a rear hub for the propulsion and the tough demands on the rear wheel. Filmed from high-strength aluminum parts together produce a reliable, yet lightweight hub. Thanks to the same flange distances the offset hub both wheels can be constructed symmetrically, highest wheel rigidity and durability are the result. The hub body has been stiffened favor uniform load distribution on the spokes, also the flanges in Spoke and thus the load direction are inclined. The freewheel mechanism is implemented via three latches that engage in a toothing of titanium and transmit the driving forces so always reliable. With 170 mm (Maxle thru-axle) the Fat Kong, although a new development but with just 240g in this hub class very easily. Tunetypisch the Fat Kong is equipped for all clamping and drive systems. Fat Kong is mounted on four stainless cartridge bearings, the size of which was adapted to the local loads.
All Tune hubs are also available with hybrid ball bearings by Ceramic Speed! More information about the optional CeramicSpeed upgrade you'll get here:
