TUNE Nabe rear Fat Kong Quickrelease 170 mm | Freehub Body Shimano | SRAM
TUNE hub rear Fat Kong quick release 170 mm | Freewheel Shimano | SRAM
Tune King & Kong make up the perfect hub pair. Based on this combination Tune developed an offset hub set for Fatbikes. Kong is responsible as rear hub for the propulsion and the hard loads on the rear wheel. The parts made of high-strength aluminum together make a reliable yet lightweight hub. Thanks to the equal flange distances of the offset hubs, both impellers can be constructed symmetrically, resulting in the highest impeller rigidity and service life. The hub body was stiffened in favor of even load distribution on the spokes, also the flanges are inclined in spoke and thus load direction The freewheel mechanism is realized via three pawls, which engage in a toothing made of titanium and thus reliably transmit the driving forces. With 170 mm (quick release / Maxle thru axle) respectively 177 mm (X-12 thru axle) the Fat Kong is indeed a new development but with just 240g in this hub class very light. The Fat Kong is equipped for all clamping and drive systems. Fat Kong is stored by four stainless steel bearings, whose size has been adapted to local loads.
All Tune hubs are also available with CeramicSpeed hybrid bearings! More information about the optional CeramicSpeed upgrade you can get here:
