With the Yokto hubs, Tune once again prove that they continue to play in the Champions League of component manufacturers. And the set is not one of the lightweights, but functional lightweight construction was the motto during development. The result is the perfect combination of durability and safety without shocking you when you look at the scales.
As you would expect from Tune, the Yokto hubs are also manufactured from a high-quality aluminum alloy on modern CNC machines. Their tapered, slim body fits perfectly into any road bike wheelset, where it not only looks great but also improves aerodynamics. For the hub flange, the bike freaks from the Black Forest have opted for the straight-pull version. This further reduces the weight and minimizes the risk of broken spokes by eliminating their sensitive bend.
You will be impressed by the rolling characteristics. Thanks to the high-quality XD15 ceramic hybrid ball bearings from Enduro Bearings, the smooth running is legendary and the perfect sealing guarantees high running performance. A new axle design eliminates the need for shims to adjust the axial play. Simply fit the wheel and ride off.
The rear wheel hub is driven by the POEtry40 pawl freewheel. Two pawls engage in 40 ratchets. Heat-treated steel was chosen as the material here. Although this is somewhat heavier than titanium, its durability is practically unlimited. In addition, the pawls are very wide, which distributes the force over a larger area. Here too you can see: lightweight construction yes, but with a sense of proportion.

With the exception of the ball bearings, all individual parts of the Yokto hubs are produced and assembled in Germany. This allows the manufacturing process to be strictly monitored and enables Tune to extend the warranty to 10 years.
