With their aluminum carrier plate with integrated cooling fins, the SwissStop Exotherm pads release the heat generated during braking into the ambient air much faster than conventional brake pads. This effectively counteracts overheating of pads and brake discs and significantly reduces the risk of brake fading. Since the braking performance of a disc brake decreases as the temperature rises, the braking performance is also higher and more constant compared to other pads thanks to the Exotherm carrier plate.
