STAGES CYCLING Power Meter L Shimano XTR M9000 | M9020
The Stages Power Meter L M9000 | 9020 is the power meter for all athletes riding a Shimano XTR crankset. It is preassembled on a left hand XTR M9000 or M9020 crank arm and, after the correct crank length has been selected, can be swiftly and easily replaced with the left crank arm of the existing crankset. A big advantage over other systems: it does not intervene in the tuning of the wheel and the circuit.
The Stages Power L XTR is available for both the M9000 Race and M9200 Trail versions. In addition to the length, therefore, the model (M9000 or M9020) is decisive in the selection, since the versions have a different Q factor.
All current features from the newly developed LR (Left-Right) power meter with dual-sided power measurement have been integrated into the 2018 L- (Left-) Power Meter. Not only the software, but also the hardware has been redesigned. Thus, the measurement accuracy could be increased to + -1.5%. Also, the antenna has become stronger and sends the data with 6 times higher intensity, which reduces the risk of dropouts. In addition, the L-power meters are compatible with even more bike computers. The integrated cadence sensor also got an upgrade to measure more accurate values. Optionally, the cadence can now also be measured via a magnet. As a positive side effect of the new hardware provides for a weight reduction of 5 grams to the previous version.
Active temperature compensation ensures the accurate power measurement of the Stages Power Meter even with large temperature fluctuations. Thanks to the ANT + and Bluetooth Smart transmission standards, the Stages Powermeter is compatible with all ANT + compatible bike computers as well as the latest smartphone models. Firmware upgrades are quick and easy due to wireless transmission to the power meter. The small extra weight of only 15 grams not only enthuses lightweight fans, moreover, the performance of the wheel is hardly affected.
