SRM, the pioneer of performance measurement on the bicycle with 30 years experience, presents the new PowerMeter AX-Lightness PELTON ROAD.
The AX-Lightness PELTON ROAD crank is forged aluminum crank with a shaft diameter of 30 mm, suitable for the bottom bracket standards of BSA, BB30, BB386, BB386evo and BBright. The newly developed for this crank SRM PowerMeter is mounted by means of a Lockrings and has an accuracy of ± 1%. The SRM PowerMeter AX-Lightness PELTON ROAD is only available as compact version with the bolt pattern size of 110 mm and chainring combinations 50/34 and 52/36. The crank lengths are initially limited to 172.5 mm and 175 mm. Bottom bracket are not included. The battery life is 1,400 hours.
Since AX-Lightness is known for lightweight, of course, the weight is correspondingly low:
for the power meter with right and left 172.5 mm crank and chainring combination 50/34 we call a weight of only 740 g.
SRM provides the PC8 a device which is consistently oriented to the needs of athletes and dispensed gimmicks. This implies that in addition to the known values such as power, heart rate, speed, etc. the Training Peaks metrics such as TSS (Training Stress Score), NP (Normalized Power) and IF (Intensity Factor) are stored and the values are displayed. The display is also configurable.
The PC8 has GPS (for recording) and controlled by a light sensor backlit. Can be turned off in order to extend the battery life GPS and lighting as well. Thus, the battery life is between 10 and 45 hours.
The memory includes 500 MB, which is enough for about 4,000 hours. Training. A built-in motion sensor switches the PC8 when starting automatically.
Since many users have several bikes with power meters, there is now the possibility of four bike profiles to define and select the Relevant before departure. The previously necessary pairing before departure is undertaken.
The shell is made of anodized aluminum, which is offered in three different colors and can be printed according to your personal on the sides.
The charging and data transfer of PC8 is via a magnetic connector. The data is stored as a file and can .fit a training software (eg. As Golden Cheetah, Strava, Training Peaks, etc.) are evaluated.
The data transfer of power meter, speed sensor and heart rate monitor will be wireless via the ANT + protocol.
