Description
SRAM XX1 Rear Derailleur Black 11-speed Type 2.1 | X-Horizon
With the XX1, SRAM takes into account the skyrocketing popularity of enduro racing worldwide,
because in this sector is usually driven anyway with a chainring. Long and steep climbs, however, with the existing 2-fold translations rather frustration than desire. But also for XC pilots, the XX1 should be interesting, but you can still save on the huge gear ratio still significant weight to conventional 2-speed drives.
The new X-Horizon rear derailleur of the XX1 group has been optimized so that the shift precision, in contrast to the normal SRAM XX a little better, and make the gears easier to turn. It features the improved Type 2.1 (Roller Bearing Clutch) rear derailleur for smoother and cleaner running of the chain. The rear derailleur parallelogram perfectly matches the gradation of the 10-42 cassette, providing fast and accurate gear changes across the entire range.
Because of the rough track conditions, a chain guide is almost indispensable in enduro races and the increasingly demanding XC World Cups, SRAM also thought about it.
Thus, a greatly increased chain tension is implied in order to dispense with additional guides. Special X-SYNC chain guide rollers ensure a secure hold and prevent the chain from jumping off. Furthermore, the rear derailleur for the simplest impeller replacement is equipped with the already known Cage-Lock system.
