SRAM groupset X01 Red 1x11 for GXP | X-SYNC Direct Mount chainring
SRAM has established with the XX1 group the 1x11-speed drivetrain, to be followed with the X01. Both groups are based on the same base, the X01 is graded only in details with respect to the XX1. The performance is expected to be on the high level of X0 group and should thus meet almost all demands!
The principle of the 1x11-speed drive aimed at all disciplines of Cross Country to Enduro. By eliminating the derailleur a potential source of error is eliminated, the overall speed bandwidth requirements is realized through the 11-speed cassette. Since the chainrings no longer need to be optimized for shifting the tooth form is then adjusted to keep the chain as possible. This is achieved through so-called wide-narrow teeth, which is thicker alternating with thinner teeth. This special form keeps the chain so effective on the sheet that a chain guide is no longer necessary even with tougher disciplines!
The crank is building as the XX1 crank on the Platform of the known X0 crank. There are therefore the arms of a hollow, extremely rigid, lightweight and durable carbon structure that is suited to tackle the stresses in the MTB range. The extra stiff X-SYNC Direct Mount chainring with 32 teeth is made of milled aluminum. The change takes place as fast as the previous crank, the crank must be dismantled but for this case. However, is the elimination of the Spiders an even greater variety of useful translations available.
This feature makes the new X01 even more adaptable. Various chainrings in different gradations of 26 - Available 40 teeth. They have special teeth, X-SYNC, which prevent the chain itself come off in rough conditions and is kept as reliable without chain guide in position.
In the GXP version, the shaft is made of steel, measures 24 mm in diameter and is stepped on the left side in the same direction at 22 mm. Through the use of steel, the GXP version is heavier than the minimal BB30 crank and provides approximately the same stiffness. The GXP crank is intended especially for frames with BSA and PF92 bottom bracket.
The Q Factor is 168 mm.
The cassette of the X01 comes up with a range of 10-42 teeth and thus offers unrestricted Uphill compatible. The cassette is made from billet and guarantees as for absolute stability. However, note that this does not fit all normal 9- / 10-speed freehub body, so SRAM and DT Swiss brought at the same time to launch appropriate exchange-freewheel and hubs out.
The PC XX1 / X01 chain has very rounded outer plates for improved shifting and quiet operation. The HollowPin construction of the 11-speed Power Chain of SRAM allows smooth, precise shifting and weight savings without compromising in terms of durability. Thanks to the known PowerLock chain lock allows the chain anytime Wergzeugfrei open and reseal.
The X01 derailleur inherits almost all the features of the XX1 derailleur. A gradation takes place mainly in the choice of material, which is manifested in a minimally increased weight. The shifting precision is at the highest level. Thanks to the improved Type 2.1 derailleur damping the chain is guided securely on rough trails. In conjunction with the special X-SYNC chainrings of SRAM, a chain guide for many areas is unnecessary.
Trigger or Twister
The triggers are classic lever and the Twister Grip Shift their counterpart. Both also operate an extremely high level in terms of precision, durability and feel. The mechanism used provides fastest possible shifting.
Best sealed bottom bracket for all common standards. Optional with ceramic bearings for easy running.
Weight: from about 1575 g (+ bottom bracket depending on the model)
Note: The group is delivered without brakes. Fitting offers can be found in our extensive range. The total weight is different depending on the configuration.
