SRAM Rival DUB Wide Crank Road 2-speed
The Rival DUB 2-way crank offers a higher bandwidth and at the same time smaller gear steps. What sounds absurd at first is made possible by the new X-Range gear ratios in combination with the Rival 12-speed cassettes. Thanks to the cassette's 10-tooth sprocket, smaller chainrings are sufficient to achieve the same maximum development as with an 11-tooth sprocket. Due to the smaller size in connection with the unique one-piece design, the chainrings have become lighter and stiffer at the same time. The small difference of only 13 teeth between the chainrings ensures precise and reliable shifting behavior and leads to fewer compensating shifts on the rear derailleur. The Rival is visually convincing with its polished, black aluminum crank arms, which are available in lengths from 160 to 175 millimeters. The crankshaft for the new DUB Road bottom bracket standard was developed for a wide intended use With the corresponding DUB bottom bracket, the crankshaft is compatible with all common bottom bracket housings. With the SRAM Rival Quarq AXS power meter kit available in our shop, the crank can be upgraded to a power measurement system if necessary.
The wide version has been specially developed for gravel bikes. Its widened DUB crankshaft and a chain line that has grown by 2.5 millimeters offer enough tire clearance even for 2.1-inch wide tires. The wide crank with the corresponding DUB bottom bracket is even suitable for use on MTBs. The ratio with 43-30 teeth is also specially adapted for off-road use.
NOTE: The wide crank is only compatible with the SRAM eTap AXS wide front derailleur.
