The Rival 1 group has been specially developed for use with a chainring. With its large selection of cassettes and chainrings, the Rival 1 group is suitable for use on racing bikes and time trial machines as well as for cyclocross and gravel bikes.

Disc brakes offer numerous advantages, which is why they can hardly be steered away in the MTB area. The braking performance and controllability in all weather conditions far exceeds rim brakes! In addition, the brake as a heat source is separated from the often sensitive tires. This can bring the decisive advantage, especially in borderline situations. The brake system works with DOT 5.1 brake fluid. This medium is strictly standardized and thus offers an extremely reliable function even at high temperatures caused by braking. Equipped with SRAM's DoubleTap technology, the Rival 1 shifter ensures crisp shifts with just one lever.

SRAM Rival 1 rear derailleur Silver | Black 11-speed Type 3.0
Version m For model year 2018, the Rival 1 rear derailleur has been given the Type 3.0 (Roller Bearing Clutch) rear derailleur damping, which ensures an even quieter and cleaner running of the chain. The 12-tooth roller wheels with the X-Sync tooth profile improve the chain guidance and prevent the chain from jumping off. Furthermore, the rear derailleur for the easiest wheel change is equipped with the already known Cage-Lock system.
it medium-length cage is designed for cassettes with a gradation of 11-26 to 11-36 teeth. The parallelogram of the long-cage version has been optimized for use with SRAM wide-range cassettes with 10-42 teeth.

The forged aluminum crank arms of the Rival 1 crank ensure excellent stability. With a removable spider and a large selection of chainrings, you can optimally adapt the crank for your intended use .
SRAM X-SYNC chainrings
The X-Sync technology ensures better and longer contact between chain and chainring. The narrow-wide tooth profile always holds the chain securely in place, even in the event of strong vibrations. A sharp and narrow tooth profile as well as the rounded oblique edges support a clean chain guide. The X-Sync chainrings have corresponding recesses for better removal of dirt and mud.
SRAM bottom bracket
High-quality bearings are already available from SRAM in the standard version. With the option of hybrid ceramic bearings, durability and smooth running can be improved.
SRAM Rival 1 | 22 cassette 11-speed PG-1130
The PG-1130 cassette is built in a classic design from individual sprockets, the largest sprockets being applied in groups of three to an aluminum spider. The individual sprockets are punched out precisely and a profile is stamped that is optimized for clean gear changes. The shape of the individual teeth of the cassette are optimally matched to each other to enable smooth switching operations.

SRAM XG-1150 cassette 10-42 teeth
The XG-1150 cassette consists of 11 individually punched pinions that are held together using FULL PIN technology (123 stainless steel pins). With a gear ratio range of 10-42 teeth, even the steepest ramps can be climbed.
The XG-1150 cassette is only compatible with SRAM XD 11-speed freewheels!
