With the NX Eagle, SRAM presents an inexpensive introduction to their carefree 12-speed drives. The gear ratio range of 455% covers all intended use from the plain to the high mountains without having to put up with the additional weight and the poorer shifting performance of a derailleur. Thanks to the robust cassette, the NX Eagle is the only e-bike compatible 12-speed group.
After the Eagle components have established themselves on the market, the Americans of SRAM 2018 are coming with the next big coup for the further optimization of mountain bike drives. DUB technology not only simplifies the combination of crankshaft and bottom bracket, it also increases the durability of the bottom bracket. SRAM DUB cranks have a uniform shaft diameter of 28.99 millimeters. Thanks to various variants of the completely redesigned and better-sealed DUB bottom bracket, the cranks are compatible with all common bottom bracket housings. The aluminum crankshafts were also revised, which reduced the weight of the DUB crank sets compared to their predecessors.
Made of aluminum 6000, the NX Eagle DUB crank arms can withstand occasional touchdowns and stone chips. The crank is supplemented by an X-Sync 2 Direct Mount chainring. This impresses with a significantly quieter running of the chain and better self-cleaning in muddy conditions compared to the 11-speed predecessor. With the proven alternating thick-thin tooth profile, which is matched to the SRAM Eagle chains, it always holds the chain securely in place. Made of steel, the chainring has an extremely long service life and its robustness makes it ideal for e-bike drives.
Regardless of whether it's downhill descents or steepest ramps, the PG-1230 cassette provides you with the right gears with 11-50 teeth in every terrain. The SRAM Powerglide tooth profiles and climbing aids always ensure smooth and precise gear changes.
The NX Eagle chain was specially developed for the requirements of the 12-speed drive. The full pin construction makes the chain extremely robust and durable . The revised PowerLock chain lock has a longer durability and is even easier to use.
The NX Eagle rear derailleur adopts numerous technologies of the XX1 Eagle top group with its single-specific X-Horizon design. The large offset of the upper indexing wheel ensures a constant chain distance and ensures exact gear changes. A lower derailleur roller with 14 teeth ensures that the chain runs smoothly and with less resistance. The quieter chain run is supported by the optimized Type 3.0 cage damping, which effectively prevents the chain from striking in rough terrain. The extremely high tension of the derailleur cage and the X-Sync pulleys matched to the chain prevent the chain from jumping off even on the roughest trails.
The NX Eagle Trigger is the control center of the vector group. Only the thumb of the right hand is required to pass on the switching commands. So you can concentrate on the essentials on the trail: the right choice of line! The new 12-speed switching mechanism of the trigger ensures smooth and precise switching operations and has a very high durability. Its Exact Actuation technology ensures smooth and smooth gear changes across the entire gear range. For a tidy cockpit and best ergonomics, the NX Eagle Shifter can be mounted with the SRAM Matchmaker or Matchmaker X.
The DUB bottom brackets have an improved seal to ensure that the crank runs smoothly for even longer. They are available in versions for frames with PF30, BB89.5 / 92, BSA and BB30 bottom bracket housings.
