SRAM Force 22 Complete Group 2x11 for GXP
The Force 22 group is the "small" top group in the SRAM assortment. Apart from a few details, this group offers all the features of the leading group RED. SRAM underpins this by bringing Force and RED together with the new 2 x 11-speed system! With the 11-speed cassette, 22 gears are now available, which all can be driven without restrictions thanks to the "Yaw" -lab. The new, finer gradation of the cassette allows the optimal cadence to be more precise and longer.
Note: The total weight of the group differs depending on the configuration.
SRAM Force 22 DoubleTap brake lever
The new brake & shift levers have been further developed from an ergonomic point of view. The bit was slightly narrower and at the same time received a flat cusp on the top. The brake handle is now running longer to be more accessible and to allow a higher brake ratio. The grip width of brake and shift levers can now be set individually!
SRAM Force 22 rear derailleur
The rear derailleur was only carefully optimized to keep the very good, crisp switching behavior as possible. New are above all the Aeroglide Pulleys, which should favor a quieter run of the chain.
short cage for cassettes with up to 28 teeth
WiFli medium-length cage for cassettes up to 36 teeth
SRAM Force 22 front derailleur
The "Yaw" -Umwerfer was presented to all first with the Red 2012 group. Thanks to a further developed mechanism not only the chain cage is shifted in parallel during switching operations, but simultaneously rotated around the vertical axis - or the seat tube of the frame. This rotation compensates the skew of the chain depending on the switched chainring combination. This eliminates the need to readjust the derailleur as with other systems!
SRAM Force 22 crank
The crank has been significantly revised. The system of carbon crank arms, a forged aluminum spider with highly optimized chainrings and a BB30 shaft made of aluminum or GXP shaft made of steel offer a first class power transmission. The chainrings are geared to the Yaw front derailleurs to ensure quick and clean gear changes over the chainrings.
SRAM bottom bracket
High-quality bearings are already available in SRAM's standard version. With the option of hybrid ceramic bearings, the durability and the smooth running can be improved.
SRAM PG-1170 cassette
11 finely graduated pinions, in which shifting aids are incorporated with high precision. With this cassette, gears can be changed unexpectedly fast and clean. The fine gradation makes it possible to keep the cadence constant longer and thus to save power or to keep the optimal training range.
The SRAM 11-speed road bike cassettes are only compatible with Shimano 11-speed freewheels! Corresponding wheels and conversion kits for older wheels and hubs are available from many manufacturers!
SRAM PC-1170 chain
The new 11-speed compatible chain has also been redesigned in details.
* A new material for the inner plates to reduce wear.
* A modified riveting process increases the strength of this connection,
at least 2500N are needed to remove the rivets
* The outer plates are nickel plated to increase the corrosion protection
SRAM Force Brakes
The brakes follow the already known design of SRAM. With stainless steel bearing pins and Dual Pivot System, these brakes are strong and reliable. The meterability of the brake is excellent and thanks to a cooperation with SwissStop in the production of brake pads in all weather conditions!
