SRAM Force 22 Crank Carbon | for GXP
The Force 22 crank is modular. The carbon crank arms are single, highly optimized components that are connected to the no less optimized spider and a 24 mm steel shaft. The integrated design allows the individual parts to be optimized separately and to make production more efficient. The higher production efficiency compared to a fully integrated design allows SRAM to offer the Force 22 low weight cranks much cheaper than the RED cranks !
In the function of the Force 22 crank, there is no difference to the RED top group! The stiff chainrings are identical in Force and RED group and are great!
The GXP shaft is made of steel and has an outer diameter of 24 mm, which is reduced to 22 mm at the seat of the left bearing. The special design of the shaft allows the installation of the crank, without having to adjust the bearing preload separately!
The shaft provides a sufficiently high rigidity and is designed with appropriate GXP inner bearings especially for frames with BSA thread or Shimano Pressfit bottom bracket.
