    Article details

      SRAM EX1 E-Bike chain 1x8 144 links

If you want to move your e-bike in the field sportily, its drive train quickly reaches its limits. This can result in unclean switching operations when switching under load and chain tearing. SRAM's engineers have tackled this problem, and the EX1 has introduced a switchgear specifically designed to meet the needs of e-bikes. With a wide range cassette with only 8 speeds, you can use the extra power of the engine support while accelerating perfectly, without having to shift too many gears. Equipped with SRAM's tried-and-tested 1-way technology, you can intuitively load the gears under load without the risk of chain spills or material damage.

A particularly stringent set of requirements is placed on the chain for e-bikes. Finally, it must not only be able to transmit very high torque, but also to be able to clean it under a constant high power. Due to the 1x8 drive of the EX1 group, the EX1 chain has significantly less skew than with other shift groups. Therefore SRAM was able to construct a wider and more stable chain. In combination with the EX1 cassette, it also offers a very high level of stability during gear change and can transmit significantly higher forces than conventional chains.

NOTE: An SRAM 10-speed PowerLock chain lock is used to close the chain (included).
