SRAM Disc brake CODE RSC Braking has different meanings. For code, braking means fast enough to win the downhill world championship or the steepest alpine runs. Or rushing through a single-track Uphill - thanks to the new e-mountain biking possibilities. Code is the right tool to make drivers slower, harder, faster and more intense. It uses the proven SRAM Guide design and technologies. With the larger PiggyBack reservoir and a four-piston caliper with a larger diameter, it provides constant and reliable performance for all high-load applications. The Bleeding Edge technology makes maintenance very easy.
Code RSC consists of the elements that have made the Guide a model of braking design and performance and offers 15% more power to convince in all applications with high load. SwingLink and ball-bearing levers provide a soft and progressive feel on the lever, while at the same time the 30% greater positive amount of brake fluid maintains a constant performance even with harder and more frequent braking or with a larger mass to be braked.
Bleeding Edge
The Bleeding Edge technology allows quick and easy bleeding of the brakes. Thanks to the new fluid channel and the newly designed vent opening, the liquid can be pumped more easily through the brake caliper. A special adapter can be plugged into the vent opening and seals the system to prevent the ingress of air and liquid loss.
Point Adjustment
Some people like the immediate transmission of a short lever path. Others prefer the feel of a longer lever travel. With the pressure point setting, you can determine the position at which your fingers are to be placed in the brakes. This allows you to adjust the feel of your brakes quickly and easily to your needs.
Reach Adjust
The fit and ergonomics of the brake lever is a very personal matter. The drivers have individual positional preferences as well as unique handgrips and finger lengths. With the handgrip setting, the lever can be easily adjusted - for maximum control with just one finger.
DOT 5.1
Heat is the enemy of every braking system. Through improved heat management, your ride will be much safer. We have found that with DOT 5.1 it takes three times longer than with DOT 4, until the boiling point is reached. This ensures smooth and never-weakening braking under even more extreme conditions.
Expandable Bladder
SRAM's new brake lever design includes a new bubble shape that allows air bubbles to be regulated and reduced. The bladder is specially shaped to pump air out of the lever and transport the fluid exactly where it is needed. The result is an improved counter-pressure relief for a reliable and constant braking performance.
Swing link
When you pull on a new SRAM brake lever, you'll notice the difference immediately. A shorter empty path. Optimized operation of brake pads. Due to the new cam design, a shorter lever path is required to push the brake pads towards the brake disc. This is nice, but for a perfect braking performance it is more than just power. They need control. Many brake systems offer a shorter idle distance - at the expense of modulation. SwingLink solves this problem with its special cam shape. When the brake pads touch the brake disc, the force is modulated and the "stagnant" braking feeling is avoided. This creates the perfect balance between strength and precision.
top brake pads
If a wheel repair prevents you from reaching the track as quickly as possible, every second counts. Thanks to our top-mounted disc brake pads, you do not have to remove the wheel, work under the brake caliper or bend your fingers - and you're back on track much faster.
