Hub dynamo or thru axle?
So far, the demanding biker has had to do without one of the two. The thru axle stiffens the suspension fork and enables a more precise positioning of the hub, which is particularly useful for disc brakes. More and more mountain bikers want to take advantage of a hub dynamo lighting system. No wonder SON was asked more and more about a thru-axle hub dynamo.
In order to bring both under one roof, not only the axle construction, but also essential parts of the generator had to be changed. Result: A hub dynamo that is similar in appearance, robustness and electrical values to the SON 28 disc, but with a thick "hole".
