Not only are the finest materials used for these pads, Sinter also dug deep into their bag of tricks when putting together the organic pad mixture. The noble pads offer you a soft yet aggressive braking feel with high modulation. Noise and annoying brake squeaking is reduced to a minimum. The initial bite is slightly less compared to the Sinter Race pads in favor of more control over the braking power. Even with high thermal stress on long descents, the Elite pads have a constant braking performance. Other practical properties are the short braking time and the outstanding service life of the pads.
The backing plate of the Elite rubbers is made from a titanium alloy and has a high-gloss outer surface. Compared to steel backing plates, the alloy has lower thermal conductivity and acts as an insulator. This prevents the brake fluid and seals from overheating, which leads to more constant braking performance and greater durability of the brake system seals. An additional advantage of the titanium backing plate is the lower weight of the pads. For the bling-bling factor, the pad springs and safety pins are 24 carat gold-plated. A black wooden box with interior lighting is used as the appropriate packaging for these pieces of jewellery.
Still a relatively unknown quantity in the cycling sector, the Sinter brand can already look back on 50 years of company history. Numerous world championships have already been won on sintered products, especially in the field of go-kart brake pads and other friction materials. Leveraging their vast expertise and in-house labs to develop bicycle brake pads is Sinter's next big step. The 25-strong team develops and produces all products in its own factory in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.
