SHIMANO XTR brake disc RT-MT900 | 180 mm IceTech FREEZA
With the proven Ice-Tech cooling technology, the new RT-MT900 brake disc ensures consistent braking performance. The brake disc is characterized by its three-layer sandwich construction made of stainless steel flanks with an aluminum core and offers significantly improved heat dissipation. This allows the temperature to be reduced by around 100 ° C.
In addition, the FREEZA aluminum cooling fins can reduce the system temperature by a further 50 ° C due to their enlarged surface. Due to the higher heat dissipation, smaller brake discs can be installed than usual. The need for adapters is reduced and there is less clinking when the fork is twisted when cornering.
As is typical for Shimano, the discs are suitable for the center lock mount , which ensures quick and easy assembly, a secure hold and a clean and compact look. A lighter aluminum carrier saves a few grams of weight compared to the previous version.
