Engineers SHIMANO translated in the development of brake caliper and master cylinder construction of the new XTR brake M9000 magnesium as a material to reduce weight, but also to maintain the rigidity of the system and to optimize the heat management.
The new, lighter BL-M9000 lever to introduce yourself by carbon levers and aluminum coil also significantly lighter. Factory lightweight high-performance brake pads are enclosed with aluminum support. The ergonomically designed lever, both with one or two fingers optimally operated. On the brake levers Shimano shifter with I-Spec II can be mounted to maximize ergonomics and save a clamp on the handlebars.
For increased stability, even Ice-tech coverings can be used with cooling fins. Moreover, the use of the optional Ice-Tech rotors is recommended.
Shimano I-Spec II was updated in 2015 and is not compatible with its predecessor.
