The head of the XTR Di2 system is the digital information display. At a glance, it shows all important information such as battery charge, gear position, shift mode (S1 / S2 / manual) or suspension mode.
A selection button on the display housing enables you to quickly select or change the desired switching mode: Synchro 1, Synchro 2 or Manual while driving. At the same time, the display unit serves as a charging port and as a connection port for the E-Tube software and has three E-Tube cable connections for peripheral system components. E-Tube not only ensures order inside the frame, but also provides a chic, clean look on the outside of the bike. In addition, thanks to the E-Tube, the Fox suspension system can also be integrated, which means that fewer cables and cables have to be laid on the bike.
Bluetooth technology enables drivers and mechanics to communicate wirelessly with the Di2 system by establishing a connection between the wireless unit in the SC-M9051 information display and a tablet or smartphone. The only requirement is that the new internal battery BT-DN110 or the new holder for the external battery (BM-DN100) is installed. This benefits both the mechanic who wants to make extensive settings or error analyzes in the workshop, and the mountain biker himself, who wants to change certain settings on the trail on the smartphone.
In addition, SHIMANO's wireless D-Fly data management system enables the driver to display battery status and gear information on compatible devices such as bike computers such as the PRO SCIO ANT + models. This new technology is being delivered for the first time with the DEORE XT Di2 components and is available after a corresponding upgrade to one of the new information displays (SC-MT800 or SC-M9051) and optionally the new internal battery or the new holder for external batteries also for owners of current XTR Di2 Systems available.
