SHIMANO XTR crank 1-speed FC-M9100-1 | without chainring
With the M9100 XTR crank, Shimano is taking a big step forward in several aspects. Probably the most outstanding innovation: The M9100 is designed for direct mount chainrings. Thanks to the special DCE + Narrow Wide profile of the teeth and the Hyperglide + chain design, the 52 millimeter offset of the chainrings is suitable for both BOOST and standard rear hubs. Matching direct mount chainrings with 30 to 38 teeth are available. For riders who are looking for a broader range without wanting to forego the advantages of the narrowly graduated 10-45 cassette, Shimano also offers a suitable 2-speed chainring-spider combination.
When assembling the crank, Shimano continues to rely on the proven Hollowtech-2 technology with a 24 millimeter crankshaft. By optimizing the design of the current generation of the cold-forged aluminum crank, weight could be further saved and the rigidity increased at the same time. The XTR crank is available with a Q-factor of 162 millimeters (FC-M9100) and 168 millimeters (FC-M9120) to meet the different intended use and preferences of bikers.
