SHIMANO Ultegra Dual Pivot Side Brake BR-R8000 Set
The medium class Primus among the switching groups in a new guise! The black and anthracite R8000 component group not only improves the appearance of your bike with its distinctive, coordinated design, but also technically makes the Ultegra a big step forward. This is partly due to the Dura Ace 9100 technologies.
The BR-R8000 brake is characterized by its balance in stiffness, weight and braking power. With its sleek and elegant design, it fits perfectly into the complete set. Narrow gaps between the brake arms also improve the air resistance of the brake. The BR-R8000 brake operates according to the dual-pivot principle. The so-called two-link system has been built by Shimano for a long time and almost all road bike brakes work according to this principle. The advantage of this system is the synchronized movement of the brake arms and thus a uniform pressure build-up on both sides of the rim flank. A stabilizer between the axle n reduces the deformation of the brake at high braking forces. This improves the braking efficiency and gives the driver a better feedback during braking. The brakes are suitable for 28-mm-wide rims and 28C tires due to a 51 mm wider gap between the legs.
The brakes are equipped with the brake shoes R55C4 with lining compound for aluminum rims.
