SHIMANO SLX rear derailleur 2x 12-speed RD-M7120-SGS Shadow+ long cage
Even the SLX M7000 rear derailleur was known for its clean shifting and smooth chain movement. With the M7120, these properties could be further improved and even faster switching processes could be realized. The rear derailleur was redesigned from the ground up in order to be prepared for the extreme bandwidths of cassettes with 10-45 teeth. The jockey wheels are placed in such a way that they keep the chain at the optimum distance from the cassette in all gears. The size of these has also increased to 13 teeth. This not only offers the chain better guidance, but also ensures smoother and more energy-saving running. In addition, the Shadow+ system avoids annoying chain slapping on rough surfaces.
To get the best performance, Shimano recommends using this rear derailleur only with 2x 12-speed drives.
The RD-M7120 rear derailleur is designed so that it can be used for both 1x and 2x drives in combination with the 11/ 12-speed CS-M7100 cassette with 10-45 teeth.
NOTE: The rear derailleur is only compatible with the 11/ 12-speed CS-M7100 10-45 cassettes!
