SHIMANO Deore XT shift lever SL-M8100 12-speed right
As one of the contact points, the shift levers are an important link between the rider and the bike. Compared to the M8000 Shifter, the operating forces were reduced by 35% due to a changed gear ratio in combination with a lower cage voltage on the rear derailleur. The tried-and-tested Rapidfire Plus switching logic with levers that can be switched on both sides (2-way release) on the right was adopted from the previous version. However, the M8100 Shifter shifts faster with its revised interior thanks to instant release. The shift cable is released immediately when the lever is operated, which enables the pilot to react even more quickly to changing route conditions.
With the I-Spec EV version, the lever can be attached to Deore XT M8100 brake levers to save space. In addition, the assembly via the new standard offers a 14 mm wide, lateral adjustment range and the shifter can also be rotated by 60 degrees.
SHIMANO XTR rear derailleur 1x12 / 2x12 RD-M9100-GS Shadow + medium length cage
The XTX M9000 rear derailleur was already known for its clean gear changes and smooth chain running. With the M9100, these properties could be further improved and even faster switching operations realized. In order to be equipped for the extreme bandwidths of the cassettes with 10-45 teeth, the rear derailleur was designed from scratch. The indexing rollers are positioned in such a way that they keep the chain at an optimal distance from the cassette in all gears. The size of this has also grown to 13 teeth. This not only offers the chain better guidance, but also ensures a quieter and more energy-saving run. In addition, the Shadow + system avoids annoying chain hitting on rough ground.
To get the best performance, Shimano recommends using this rear derailleur with 1x12 or 2x 12-speed drives.
SHIMANO Deore XT cassette 12-speed CS-M8100 10-45 teeth
Soft and precise shifting processes have always been a trademark of Shimano cassettes. In the Hyperglide cassettes of the last generations, the sprockets were positioned in such a way that the chain runs extremely smoothly and with little vibration, especially when switching to a larger sprocket. With the XT M8100 cassette Shimano introduces Hyperglide +. Thanks to this technology, the gear changes now run just as smoothly when shifting into a heavier gear and are 1/3 faster compared to the CS-M8000 cassette.
This cassette requires Shimano Micro Spline compatible freewheels!
SHIMANO Deore XT chain CN-M8100 12-speed | 126 links with chain lock
The CN-M8100 chain is specially designed for the M8100 chainrings and cassettes. The chain mates perfectly with the Dynamic Chain Engagement + (DCE +) narrow-wide tooth profiles of the new Deore XT chainrings thanks to the milled grooves on the inside of the link plates. The design leads to a closer fit of the chain on the teeth. Vibrations are avoided and the smoother chain run is not only felt when pedaling, but is also expressed acoustically by a quieter drive. Thanks to a new chromed surface in combination with the tried and tested SIL-TEC coating, the service life of the chain could be kept at the level of the M8000 chain, despite the smaller outside width.
