The Shimano Deore XT Group has been a top seller in the bike market for years. It is considered perfect in performance, very reliable and durable. The 12-speed version continues this tradition.
SHIMANO Deore XT shifter SL-M8100 12-speed right
As one of the contact points, the shifters are an important link between the driver and the bike. Compared to the M8000 Shifter, the operating forces could be reduced by 35% thanks to a changed gear ratio in combination with a lower cage voltage at the rear derailleur. The proven Rapidfire Plus switching logic with double-sided switch (2-way release) on the right side has been adopted from the previous version. However, the M8100 shifter shifts faster with its revised interior through Instant Release. The shift cable is released immediately upon actuation of the lever, allowing the pilot to respond even faster to changing track conditions.
With the I-Spec EV version, the lever can be attached to Deore XT M8100 brake levers to save space. In addition, the assembly offers a 14 mm wide, lateral adjustment range over the new standard, and the shifter can also be rotated 60 degrees.
SHIMANO Deore XT Rear Derailleur 1x12 RD-M8100-SGS Shadow + Long Cage
The Deore XT M8000 rear derailleur was already known for its clean gearshifts and quiet chain running. With the M8100, these properties could be further improved and even faster switching operations realized. To cope with the extreme bandwidths of 10-51-tooth cassettes, the rear derailleur has been redesigned from scratch. The pulley wheels are placed so that they keep the chain in all gears at the optimum distance from the cassette. The size of this has grown to 13 teeth. This not only gives the chain better guidance, it also makes for a quieter and more energy-efficient run. In addition, the Shadow + system avoids annoying chain strikes on rough ground.
For optimum performance, Shimano recommends using this rear derailleur with only 1x 12-speed drives.
SHIMANO Deore XT cassette 12-speed CS-M8100 10-51 teeth
Soft and precise shifts have always been a hallmark of Shimano cassettes. With the Hyperglide cassettes of the last generations, the pinions were placed in such a way that, especially when shifting to a larger pinion, the chain runs extremely smoothly and with low vibration. With the XT M8100 cassette Shimano introduces Hyperglide +. Thanks to this technology, gearshifts are now just as smooth when shifting to a heavier gear and are 1/3 faster than the CS-M8000 Cartridge.
SHIMANO Deore XT Chain CN-M8100 12-speed | 126 links with chain lock
The CN-M8100 chain is specially designed for the M8100 chainrings and cassettes. Milled on the inside of the tabs, the chain blends perfectly with the Dynamic Chain Engagement + (DCE +) Narrow-Wide Tooth profiles on the new Deore XT chainrings. The design results in a closer fit of the chain on the teeth. Vibration is avoided and the quieter track is not only noticeable when pedaling, but also extremely acoustically by a quieter drive. Thanks to a new chromed surface in combination with the proven SIL-TEC coating, the chain life was kept at the same level as the M8000 chain, despite the smaller outer width.
DT SWISS freehub body for Shimano MTB Micro Spline cassettes 12-speed
