As one of the contact points, the shifters are an important link between rider and bike. Compared to the M6000 shifter, the operating forces could be significantly reduced by changing the transmission ratio in combination with a lower cage tension on the rear derailleur. The proven Rapidfire Plus switching logic with a lever that can be switched on both sides (2-way release) has been adopted from the previous version. Up to 3 gears can be shifted simultaneously with the main lever.
With the I-Spec EV version, the lever can be attached to current Shimano MTB brake levers to save space. In addition, the assembly offers a 14 millimeter wide lateral adjustment range via the new standard and the shifter can also be rotated by 60 degrees.
