The 105 R7000 components are not only optically based on their big siblings Dura Ace R9100 and Ultegra R8000, some features of the top groups have also been adopted from a technical point of view. With a multitude of gear ratio options and the choice between rim and disc brakes, it is just as suitable for everyday drivers as it is for racing.
Dual Control ST-R7000 shift / brake lever set
The new ST-R7000 shift / brake levers allow quick and precise shifting. This is ensured by the redesigned internal switching unit of the Dual Control Shifter. The slim and compact handles not only save weight, but also enable a better lever ratio from the brake lever position. This improves brake control and reduces operating forces. The shift and brake levers offer a larger adjustment range so that they sit optimally in the hand.
Crank FC-R7000 2-fold
The FC-R7000 crank offers a wide range of chainring combinations that cover all types of bikes, from CX and gravel bikes to time trial machines. Thanks to the precise coordination of chainrings, front derailleurs and rear derailleurs, the gear changes are extremely quick and reliable.
Rear derailleur RD-R7000-GS
The newly designed RD-R7000 rear derailleur significantly reduces the operating forces on the lever. Among other things, this is ensured by the more direct train control of the rear derailleur. Compared to its predecessor, the usual precise and fast gear changes are retained. Thanks to the compact Shadow design, the rear derailleur sits closer to the frame. This slim, low-profile design not only looks good, it also protects the rear derailleur from damage in the event of a fall. The R7000-GS rear derailleur variant is suitable for cassettes with a largest pinion of up to 34 teeth.
Front derailleur FD-R7000
The FD-R7000 front derailleur in combination with the FC-R7000 crank enables almost smooth gear changes without delay. The outstanding shifting quality was achieved through an adapted cable routing that reduces the force applied when shifting. Furthermore, the derailleur offers more cable routing options and an integrated adjustment of the tension. With its optimized gear ratio in combination with the ST-R7000 switching | Brake levers, the new 105 front derailleur ensures both shorter lever travel and lower shifting forces.
CS-R7000 cassette
The CS-R7000 cassette impresses with its good switching performance and high wear resistance. The gear changes are extremely precise, so that the shift pauses are very short. To reduce weight, the steel pinions are connected to one another via aluminum spiders. The CS-R7000 cassette is available with 4 different levels to be equipped for every application and every terrain.
Chain CN-HG601
The adapted geometry of the chain links offers excellent switching performance in every situation. The sophisticated design offers little surface to attack even in mud and dirt. In interaction with SIL-TEC, Shimano's new surface coating, a lot of friction is generated. When compared with simple coatings, SIL-TEC is a very special coating process. Thanks to the use of embedded fluorine particles, system performance is improved. The coating also reduces wear, driving noise and sliding friction, is dirt-repellent and abrasion-resistant, which significantly increases the durability of the components treated with SIL-Tec.
Brake set BR-R7000 Dual Pivot | BR-R7010 Direct Mount
The BR-R7000 brake works on the dual pivot principle. The so-called two-joint system has been built by Shimano for a long time and now almost all racing bike brakes work according to this principle. The advantage of this system is the synchronized movement of the brake arms and thus an even pressure build-up on both sides of the rim flank. A stabilizer between the axle n reduces the deformation of the brake with high braking forces. This improves braking efficiency and gives the driver better feedback when braking. With the distance between the legs widened to 51 millimeters, the brake is suitable for 28 millimeter wide rims and 28C tires.
Bottom bracket
High-quality and multi-sealed bearings complete the overall package of the 105 R7000 vector group. The bearings are designed in all common standards and shine with the silky smooth barrel typical of Shimano.
