And here he is! The latest handle from SENSUS. This grip was developed over 2 years with Swedish MTB slopestyle legend Emil Johannson. For Emil, durability, comfort and function were particularly important when developing the handle. Emil is completely satisfied with the result and has already been able to win a number of victories on the FMB World Tour. The name EM.J is Emil's nickname and a tribute to the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan. With his talent and progressive mindset in playmaking, Michal Jordan continues to inspire people from all walks of life to this day. Emil is also an exceptional slopestyle talent and has a unique perspective on competitive sport.
Comfort
Emil wanted a comfortable grip to ride all day while still providing the support needed for hard landings. As part of the development process, the slat design of the popular Swayze grip was inverted - to combine the necessary support with the desired comfort. The closer spacing of the thicker sipes provides a tighter feel in the hand, yet the rubber remains extra soft enough to absorb small impacts. Furthermore, the EM.J has a micro inner flange, so you get enough feedback on the inside.
cutting lines
It is important for Emil that every rider can design the cockpit of his bike according to his preferences. For this purpose, cutting lines were attached to the outside of the handle. This allows you to easily shorten the EM.J to lengths of 132 mm, 137 mm or 144 mm.
reduced inner diameter
In order to counteract the classic twisting and loosening of grips without a lock-on clamp, the inner diameter of the grip has been reduced. This keeps the handle firmly in place.
