The Scott Scale frames have had a permanent place in the World Cup circuit for a long time. The 2023 model is also being chased by the pros over the World Cup routes. A featherweight racing machine designed for nothing more than converting muscle power into propulsion.
The HMX-SL carbon fibers in particular contribute to the low frame weight of only 847 grams and the nevertheless high rigidity. These are approx. 8.5% lighter than normal HMX threads. Manufactured exclusively for Scott, they go through a longer production process and also gain greater strength. In addition, fibers impregnated with nano resin are installed in particularly stressed and critical areas. This ensures undisturbed propulsion and better protects your frame from serious damage in the event of a fall.
The comfort aspect was not neglected either. The SDS2 (Shock Damping System) was further developed. This is not limited to individual parts of the frame, but considers it as a whole. The arrangement of the carbon fibers was chosen in such a way that the stiffness is not negatively influenced when pedaling and flex is created where it directly benefits the driver for his performance.
With the acceptance of the 1x drives, the seat tube could also be completely revised. A front derailleur is no longer required, the shape is optimized for stiffness and comfort. It has a small mount for the Scott chain guide above the bottom bracket.
A clean and graceful look is achieved with the ICCR cable routing, in which all cables and lines run through the frame. The redesigned routing directly through the head tube avoids additional openings on the down tube and provides even better protection against water and dirt. Inside, the cables are neatly routed through inserts and can therefore be installed without any problems. The small service opening in the front part of the bottom bracket area is also used for simplified relocation or for maintenance work. After removing a plastic plate, you can work inside the frame without having to remove the bottom bracket.
The set already includes the Syncros Fraser iC handlebar stem unit including headset, a Syncros carbon seat post and even a high-quality FOX 32 SC Float Factory Air Kashima FIT4 suspension fork with 100 mm travel. Everything has been color-matched to the frame and results in a uniform appearance that will definitely make you the envy.
