From now on there are no more excuses. With this frame you have the top material par excellence and you can fly over the trail or simply flatten obstacles on fast descents. Equipped with the striking TUNED design, it impresses both visually and technically.
Scott goes his own way again this year. Integration is the motto. And that is obvious at first glance. Is there a damper missing? Of course not. It sits well protected just above the bottom bracket. What are the advantages of this construction? On the one hand, the damper is very well protected against dirt and other external influences. In addition, weight is saved because the bottom bracket area is already stiff from the outset to maximize stability and therefore less additional material is required for the mount . Is maintenance work made more difficult by the new design? No is the clear answer. The SAG can be read and adjusted directly from a marking on the main bearing. And to access the shock, simply remove the small cover with the push of a button and you have unhindered access to the shock.
The suspension travel leaves nothing to be desired. This is 160 mm at the front and 150 mm at the rear. For Scott, this is the new standard in the trail and all-mountain area. This gives you more comfort and safety reserves off-road. The FOX 36 Float Factory Air Kashima Grip 2 suspension fork and the Fox Nude Float X EVOL damper are perfectly matched to the new geometry, respond very sensitively and ensure sufficient ground contact at all times.
The supplied TwinLoc 2 lever is the optimal control center for adjusting the chassis of your Spark. With this lever you have the possibility to adjust the fork and damper to the ground at the same time. You have three different modes available - Descend, Traction and Lockout. In addition, he can control a Vario seat post.
Another interesting feature is the adjustability of the head angle. The frame is equipped with headset covers, which you can use to change the angle by +/- 0.6°. This makes it possible to adapt the driving characteristics to local conditions or personal preferences.
What remains is the chain line line, which has been enlarged to 55 mm. It offers more space for a stiffer chainstay and also allows the use of very wide 2.6" tires. This increases traction and at the same time puncture protection.
The HMX carbon fibers in particular contribute to the low weight and nevertheless high rigidity. These are made exclusively for Scott and come very close to the ideal balance between weight, stiffness and comfort. Particularly critical and stressed areas have been specially reinforced.
A clean and graceful look is achieved with the ICCR cable routing, in which all cables and lines run through the frame. All conceivable constellations were considered. The cables are neatly routed through inserts in the frame, where they are well protected from dirt and rain.
The set already includes a FOX 36 Float Kashima Grip2 suspension fork, the Fox Nude Float X EVOL damper and the Syncros Hixon iC handlebar-stem unit. Everything has been color-matched to the frame, resulting in a unified look that's guaranteed to make you the envy of everyone.
