With the year 2026, Schwalbe is completely revamping its MTB range: design, designation, technology and reducing the portfolio to the essentials was Schwalbe's motivation.
Thanks to the new clarity in the designation, more clarity has been created. Schwalbe-Line or Pro-Line is the first question you will ask yourself. What version do you need, do you need the racing tire (Pro-Line) or the more durable price-performance model (Schwalbe-Line).
The designations for the tire constructions have also been renamed to make them easier to understand. Gravity, Trail and Race are the new names.

Schwalbe worked closely with the professionals from the Commencal and Muc-Off racing teams to develop their new high-performance tires. Over the course of two years, this collaboration resulted in the Tacky Chan. With a completely new tread design, the Tacky Chan is the ideal companion for downhill and enduro - the perfect combination of stability and adaptability is key here. Reinforced shoulder lugs, extended braking edges and L-shaped lugs enable higher speed with less weight, greater braking traction and maximum grip, especially when cornering. The open shoulder area provides direct feedback and improves self-cleaning. As usual, this MTB tire has features such as TLR, Snakeskin or pointed puncture protection. Together with the Albert, the Tacky Chan is the successor to the Big Betty.
Schwalbe PRO
The PRO tires from Schwalbe stand for exceptional performance and were explicitly designed for competition. Extremely fast and very light with good running performance make these tires the first choice for all ambitious athletes.
SOFT
The compound provides a good balance of speed and damping and is perfect for hardcore use in enduro, gravity and downhill. Thanks to the improved compound, it can also be used optimally in cold conditions. SOFT replaces the previous Addix Soft.
Race Pro
Race Pro is Schwalbe's latest evolution of tire carcass technology. Based on the Super Race construction, the development team has optimized the carcass in two areas: Puncture protection and rolling resistance, both key elements in the battle for a podium place. Consisting of three layers, the special structure of the individual plies reinforces the sidewall, offers excellent snakebite and cut protection and enables smooth and comfortable rolling. Improved rolling characteristics promise higher speeds and create confidence in every riding situation.
NOTE
Tires with a soft rubber compound offer more grip and roll more smoothly. However, soft tires degrade more quickly and are more susceptible to wear.
