It is no coincidence that the G-One R was presented at the Unbound Gravel Race (formerly Dirty Kanza), the cradle of gravel racing. The newest offspring of the Schwalbe Gravel family combines all the properties that are needed to travel fast and efficiently on long gravel routes. The key to this is the finely balanced carcass construction, which Schwalbe transferred from the Pro One road bike tire to the G-One R. Two carcass plies under the tread allow the tire to roll smoothly and comfortably, while three carcass plies protect against cuts on the sides. In addition, the light V-Guard puncture protection increases cut and puncture resistance.
On the tread, the new Boomerang profile ensures very good off-road properties. Due to the almost closed structure, the tire still rolls off extremely easily, while the lugs also offer sufficient traction when driving uphill and braking. The slightly higher, angled side knobs provide the necessary cornering grip and safe handling when leaning. Equipped with the latest Tubeless-Easy technology, G-One R can be mounted tubeless without any problems.
SOUPLESSE Carcass construction
The turn-up construction integrates the Tubeless Easy technology in the most advanced way. This makes the tire so incomparably supple and comfortable. The driving experience resembles the silky soft behavior of a classic tubular tire.
ADDIX RACE COMPOUND
Completely new recipe. ADDIX Race is a multi-compound made from the latest and highest quality polymers in tested quality. Since the filling levels for silica were significantly increased, the mixing process also had to be refined. Different special mixtures are used in the center and on the sides. This increases grip in corners without having a negative impact on rolling resistance or durability.

TLE - Tubeless Easy
A new monofilament side fabric brings three advantages compared to the previous standard: Even better cut resistance, increased puncture resistance and, above all, it enables an extremely easy tubeless conversion. Sealing fluid is required, but installation is otherwise just as easy as with real tubeless tires. Long conversion processes with intensive shaking and frequent pumping are no longer a problem with Tubeless Easy.
V-GUARD puncture protection insert
The insert is made from a specially developed high-tech polymer fiber that is also used for bulletproof and stab-proof vests. It offers excellent protection against cuts and stabs and is extremely light. Neither the rolling resistance nor the suppleness of the tire are affected by V-Guard. The 14 mm wide insert protects the entire tread and thus ensures extremely high puncture protection. The 3-layer side wall also reliably protects against cuts.
