The Rotor PowerPacks offer you an inexpensive option to equip your bike with a high-end power meter.
Thanks to the measurement technology integrated in the crankshaft, the 2INpower crank does not need any visible sensors that interfere with the optics of the wheel. The weight of the system is also minimal. The crank set only weighs 596 grams (with 170 mm crank arm length; without chainrings). This is made possible by the Rotors Trinity Drilling System, milled crank arms made of ultra-light aluminum 7055. The large outer diameter of the crank arms ensures the necessary rigidity. The system is powered by a long-lasting Li-Ion battery, which can be easily charged using a standard USB cable. This means that the battery can easily be supplied with energy again after a running time of approx. 250 hours. The data is transmitted using the universal ANT + protocol or via Bluetooth.
An absolute novelty of the 2INpower system is the double-sided power measurement through the four additional strain gauges in the right crank arm. A very detailed measurement and kick analysis of both legs can be carried out and possible weaknesses analyzed in detail. With the help of the extensive and free software package from ROTOR, the analysis becomes child's play.
Another highlight of the system is the TORQUE 360 evaluation option. With the help of Rotor's in-house software, it can be used to analyze the torque curve during one pedal revolution. In this way, weaknesses between the left and right leg or an out-of-round step can be identified. This measurement technology is particularly valuable for riders who use Rotor's oval Q-ring chainrings. Using the OCA (optimized-chainring-angle) system, the software can determine the optimal position of the Q-rings via the torque curve. In this way, the driver can apply his power to the pedal even more effectively. With the proven 30 millimeter UBB crankshaft, the system in conjunction with Rotors UBB bottom bracket is compatible with all common bearing standards (except BB90 / 95).
The Direct Mount Standard is compatible with the Rotor ALDHU chainrings. These are available both as a light one-piece chainring-spider combination and as classic chainrings, which are attached to the crank using the optional ALDHU 2-way spider. For the optimal setting of the oval ROTOR Q-Rings chainrings, the OCP system (Optimum Chainring Position) has been further refined. Using a combination of different positions of the crank arms on the crankshaft and a fine-grained spider mount, the position of the chainrings can be adjusted in 1-degree steps. Only a 10 millimeter hexagonal wrench is required to adjust and assemble the chainrings and the crank.
2-speed chainring-spider combination | round
The 2-speed chainring combination milled from a block of 7075 aluminum is mounted directly on Rotors modular racing bike crank systems. This design with integrated spider saves 30 grams compared to the combination of spider and chainrings.
