Description
ROTOR power meter set | PowerPack Road 2INpower crank 170 mm | 50-34 teeth | Direct Mount Round
The Rotor PowerPacks offer you an inexpensive way to equip your bike with a high-end power meter.
Thanks to the measuring technology integrated in the crankshaft, the 2INpower crank does not have any visible sensors that disturb the optics of the wheel. The weight of the system is also minimal. The crank set weighs just 596 grams (with a crank arm length of 170 mm; without chainrings). This is made possible by the crank arms milled out of ultra-light aluminum 7055 using Rotor's Trinity Drilling System. The large outer diameter of the crank arms ensures the necessary rigidity. The system is powered by a long-lasting Li-Ion battery, which can be easily charged using a standard USB cable. This means that the battery can be supplied with energy again after a running time of approx. 250 hours without any problems. The data is transmitted using the universal ANT+ protocol or via Bluetooth.
An absolute novelty of the 2INpower system is the power measurement on both sides using the four additional strain gauges in the right crank arm. In this way, a very detailed measurement and kick analysis of both legs can be carried out and possible weaknesses can be analyzed in detail. With the help of ROTOR's comprehensive and free software package, analysis becomes child's play.
Another highlight of the system is the TORQUE 360 evaluation option. With the help of Rotor's in-house software, the torque curve during a pedal revolution can be analyzed. In this way, weaknesses between the left and right leg or an uneven step can be detected. This measurement technique is particularly valuable for riders who use Rotor's oval Q-ring chainrings. The software can use the OCA (optimized-chainring-angle) system to determine the optimal position of the Q-rings via the torque curve. In this way, the driver can apply his power to the pedal even more effectively. With the proven 30 millimeter UBB crankshaft, the system is compatible with all common bearing standards (except BB90/95) in conjunction with Rotors UBB bottom bracket.
The Direct Mount Standard is compatible with the Rotor ALDHU chainrings. These are available both as a light one-piece chainring-spider combination and as classic chainrings that are attached to the crank via the optional ALDHU 2-way spider. For the optimal setting of the oval ROTOR Q-Rings chainrings, the OCP system (Optimum Chainring Position) has been further refined. The position of the chainrings can be adjusted in 1-degree increments using a combination of different positions of the crank arms on the crankshaft and a finely ratcheted spider mount. Only a 10 mm 6-point key is required to adjust and assemble the chainrings and the crank.
The 2-speed chainring combination, milled from a block of aluminum 7075, is mounted directly on Rotor's modular road bike crank systems. This design with integrated spiders saves 30 grams compared to the combination of spider and chainrings.
