ROTOR Powermeter Set | PowerPack MTB INpower 1-speed NoQ-Ring | Round
The Rotor PowerPacks offer you an inexpensive way to equip your bike with a power meter.
Thanks to the measurement technology integrated into the crankshaft, the INpower MTB Direct Mount does not require any visible sensors that would detract from the appearance of the bike. The weight of the system is also minimalist. The INPower weighs just 560 grams (175 mm, without chainring). This is made possible by Rotor's Trinity Drilling System, which uses milled crank arms made from ultra-light 7075 aluminium. The large outer diameter of the crank arms provides the necessary rigidity. The system is powered by a standard AA battery, which is hidden behind a rotating, sealed cap on the crankshaft. This means that the battery can be easily replaced after a running time of approx. 300 hours. The data is transmitted using the universal ANT+ protocol.
The power is measured via 2 pairs of counter-rotating strain gauges in the crankshaft, which measure the power of the left leg and calculate the total power from this. Another highlight of the system is the TORQUE 360 evaluation option. With the help of Rotor's proprietary software, it can be used to analyze the torque curve during a pedal revolution. This allows weaknesses between the left and right leg or an out-of-round pedal stroke to be detected. This measurement technology is particularly valuable for riders who use Rotor's oval Q-ring chainrings, as the software can use the OCA (optimized-chainring-angle) system to determine the optimum position of the Q-rings based on the torque curve. This allows the rider to apply their power to the pedals even more effectively. With the proven 30 millimeter UBB crankshaft, the system is compatible with all common bearing standards (except BB90/95) in conjunction with Rotor's UBB bottom bracket.
Direct Mount chainring | round
The matching round Direct Mount chainring for the Rotor Kapic crank. Rotor has adapted the look of the chainrings to the martial design of the cranks for a harmonious overall appearance. The chainrings also have specially shaped teeth to prevent the chain from jumping off. In conjunction with a Sram Type2 or Shimano Shadow+ rear derailleur, which have a greatly increased cage preload, the chain is reliably held in position even without a chain guide.
