With the RS-1, a suspension fork concept that is little used in the bike area - the upside down principle. Due to the novel design, the upper unit (shaft, crown and standpipes) can be produced from one piece. This makes them not only lighter, but also significantly more rigid than conventional telegraph cables. Due to the design, the fork's response is improved, it is more sensitive even to small blows and does not harden during braking.
A newly developed Predictive Steering system provides more force between the hub and the immersion tube assembly and reliably reduces the torsional forces in the lower area of ??the upside down fork.
The proven Solo Air technology is also used.
The air spring allows the spring rate to be adjusted via a positive and negative chamber. With Bottemless Token technology, an individual adjustment of the spring characteristic is also possible. The fork can be matched perfectly to the driver's weight, and the progression can be adapted to your personal preferences.
Another new feature is the Accelerator attenuation, which essentially matches the damper cartridge of the current pike. Optimized to the RS-1 adjusted again some weight saved and the damping characteristics further improved.
The shock absorber has a hydraulic lockout which can be comfortably adjusted and operated by the handlebars. The adjustable lockout function hardens the pressure stage, so that the fork can no longer fall off the fork. However, the negative spring travel is maintained so that the front wheel can react to hoppers.
For easier adjustment, percussive SAG markings are lasered on the standpipes.
Newly developed fork hub system which allows increased force connection in the dip tube area (wider axle and larger hub flange) and makes the fork more rigid in the lower area.
The negative and positive air chambers are filled by means of a valve at the same time. What makes setting the personal set-up much easier.
The Rock Shox XLoc lever is a hydraulic locking system. It provides a reliable lockout control that can be triggered by a simple click with the thumb - once press to unlock, press again to lock again.

A special Shimstack inside the shock absorber optimizes the function with many fast successive blows. The damper returns quickly to the starting position - the ground contact is increased and the notorious baggage is prevented.
Spacers that can be inserted into the air chamber allow the ferrite characteristic to be influenced, thus achieving a smoother response with a higher end progression.
