The RS-1 Rock Shox suspension fork is the new star sky.
In the RS-1 is a poorly used in bike suspension fork range concept to come wearing - the Upside Down Principle. Due to the novel design of the upper fork unit (stem, crown and stanchions) can be manufactured from one piece. This makes it not only easier, but also much stiffer compared to conventional telescopic forks. By design, the fork sensitivity improves, it is sensitive to even small shocks and does not stiffen up during braking.
A newly developed fork hub system (Predictive Steering) provides more traction between the hub and tube assembly and reduces reliably the torsional forces in the lower region of the Upsidedown fork.
Furthermore, the proven Solo Air technology finds use.
The air spring allows for adjusting the spring rate on a positive and negative chamber. Using the Bottemless token - technology is also still an individual adjustment of the spring characteristic possible. The fork can be perfectly matched to the driver's weight, also can be adapted to the personal preferences progression.
Also new is the Accelerator-damping, which coincides substantially with the Dämferkartusche the current Pike. Adapted to the RS-1 was again saved some weight and the damping characteristics can be further improved.
The damper has a hydraulic lockout, which can be easily adjusted and operated from the handlebars. The adjustable lock-out hardens the pressure stage, so that can not occur an undershoot of the fork of the saddle. The negative spring travel is retained, however, so that the front wheel can respond to potholes.
For easier adjustment percentage SAG marks are lasered on the stanchions.
Newly developed fork hub system which increased traction in the immersion tube range allows (wider axle and larger hub flange), making the fork at the bottom of stiffer.
The negative and positive air chambers are filled only by means of a valve at the same time. What the setting of the personal set-ups much easier.
The Rock Shox XLoc lever is a hydraulic locking system. It offers reliable Lockout control, which can be triggered by a single click with the thumb - press once to unlock, press again to lock again.
XLoc lever right
A special Shimstack inside the damper to optimize the function of many, successive beats rapidly. The damper returns quickly back to the Position reached - the ground contact is increased and prevented the notorious undershoot.
Of usable in the air chamber spacer influencing the Ferderkennlinie is possible, thus achieving a smoother response with a higher Endprogression.
