REX Chain Lubricant Black Diamond E-Bike | 30g
The Finnish company REX has made a name for itself in ski racing with its special waxes. They now use their 60 years of experience to develop outstanding lubricants for the cycling sector.
The wax-based REX Black Diamond chain lubricant has recently proven its strengths. On the Zero-Friction test stand, it took first place in the long-term test by a large margin. No less than 1000 kilometers can be driven in dry conditions with chain lubrication. The formula of the Black Diamond lubricant was specially developed for the higher driving forces on e-bikes.
The most significant improvement results from the addition of tungsten disulfide nanoparticles. They improve the resistance of the lubricant at high contact pressures between chain and sprockets and also reduce frictional resistance. In combination with the nanoparticles contained in the Black Diamond in the optimal ratio, there is a synergy effect that makes the e-bike lubricant more efficient than with just one additive. For the best performance, the nano-additives are mixed into the lubricant in a time-consuming ultrasonic process. As an additional "spice", the water-repellent REX N-Kinetic Polymer is added, which improves corrosion protection and functionality in particularly cold conditions.
On the chain, the nanoparticles form an extremely resistant surface that prevents metal-to-metal rubbing. Even under the influence of dirt, the protective film remains for a long time and is able to close again to a certain extent. In practice, this means an extremely long service life with just one lubrication. The low frictional forces also increase the service life of the drive components. In contrast to other wax-based lubricants, Black Diamond E-Bike does not need to dry for several hours before it is fully functional. Simply apply one drop per chain link (inside), turn the crank backwards several times and start riding. The beading effect of wax particles is also not present with Rex lubricants, which also makes them a perfect choice for indoor use.
The Black Diamond e-bike lubricant is manufactured in their own factory in Hartola, Finland.
