The Pirelli Scorpion R is a special mountain bike rear tire. It delivers top performance in wet and dry weather conditions. The tread consists of medium length lugs arranged in a medium pitch pattern. The rubber compound ensures a service life that is in no way inferior to that of a front wheel tyre. It is also perfectly matched for mounting on modern wheels with large rim widths.

Unique to PIRELLI Scorpion mountain bike tires is a continuous layer of Smart Grip Compound. The advantage is that the high performance of the cleats is retained even after a longer period of use. This ensures uncompromising traction, both in dry and wet soil conditions.
