The Crest rims are now part of the history of mountain bikes. Since its market launch in 2005, thanks to its innovative construction, it has paved the way for tubeless-compatible, yet lightweight rims. The original idea of Stan was to offer a rim that can be ridden tubeless without problems and is lighter and more durable than all products on the market. All of these goals were then achieved with the Crest.
With a light 6069 aluminum alloy, 25 mm inner width and the asymmetrical profile, the current generation of the Crest is technologically light years ahead of the earlier design, but has lost none of the original idea. It's still light, works perfectly, prevents punctures and gets you to your destination as quickly as possible.

The BST asymmetric rim design of the Crest MK4 enables a stable impeller and at the same time ensures easy inflation and the unsurpassed airtightness on the rim flange, which is typical for NoTubes rims. It's optimized for up to 40mm wide gravel tires or a maximum of 2.3-inch mountain bike tires, making it a great and versatile choice for a wide range of bikes and riding styles.

Thanks to an extra low rim flange, the tire can unfold optimally and the shape of the tire can develop better than a conventional rim. This leads to a lower rolling resistance and optimal damping behavior.
