The reputation of the RIP 9 is inviolable, in the six years since its launch, this wheel has redefined the concept of a trailblazer. Already the first generation of the RIP was honored by the five largest trade journals in the USA and received awards like "Best 29ER of the Year". The new, reworked version is also very well received by the riders and media, so the RIP 9 is already seen as a reference of the all-mountain category not only under 29ER bikes, but also with 26-inch bikes. The in-house CVA suspension technology allows a very efficient suspension, which is active and gentle in any situation over a spring travel of 125 mm. The perfect balance is achieved together with a 120 to 140 mm suspension fork. The award-winning framework is greatly benefiting from the new design and manufacturing technologies that have been taken into account in all frame components from the control tube to the failing. With every detail, Niner asked herself if they could make it even better. From the conical fork and tapered control tube to the air formed frame tubes to over 10 forged parts, every detail has been studied and developed through FEM, numerous mechanical stress tests and inserts on the trails to the optimum. The manufacture of the frame tubes with compressed air in a heated form, provides more control over wall thickness and uniformity of the material, which results in the use of less aluminum. As a result, Niner obtained a stiffer frame construction without additional weight. A ride on a RIP 9 aluminum awakens the passion that is known for mountain biking.
