Recent evolution of the AIR 9 hardtail frame!
The participants await an excellent processing, technical details and sly geometry.
Hydro Formed Tubes allow to control wall thickness and shape tubes exactly to specifications.
This results in an optimum strength and rigidity. The AIR 9 is a perfectly coordinated framework with precise handling and an ideal driving experience. Light & stiff - the bike climbs uphill super, provides excellent power transfer and security in the downhill.
Niner has a lot of experience in designing high-efficiency tubes. The tube forms the Air 9 are strongly influenced by the AIR 9 RDO. This means a Maximum in rigidity at the top and down tubes.
The rear triangle is designed in the tube shapes that he is similar to the principle of a leaf spring. Stiff in acres, but generation of comfort while sitting in the saddle. In the current model works
a half shaft with 12 x 142 mm dimension. The quick-release axle follows the Maxle142 class from Rock Shox.
Niners racing geometry on hardtail is a development of collections of various successes in national and international cycling. The geometry was subject during the years of constant refining and development. Even forks with up to 120mm travel are in the current model - without adversely affecting the geometry - mobile. Niner tracked höchte objectives. The symbiosis of a rigid, precise framework, combined with a perfect geometry of the claim. Incidentally, the frame is also easy and meets all safety standards. The frame is available from size XS to XL.
Computer modeling, physical prototype testing (both in-house and by independent testing facilities) and hours of driving experience under highly qualified and abusive test drivers let Niner be confident that the AIR 9 expectations in cover will exceed weight and safety categories.
Press Fit bottom bracket 30
The AIR 9 uses the Press Fit 30 standard. This allows the use stiffer and lighter BB30 cranks with 30mm axle diameter.
NINER RDO fork (optional)
The AIR 9 frame can be driven with any Tapered fork of 100-120mm. For ultimate lightweight racing machines, there Niners RDO Carbon rigid fork. The stiff and lightweight carbon fork sets each crank revolution into pure propulsion. A half shaft with 15 mm diameter brings additional precision when braking and cornering.
Detail & Finish
The Air 9 is available in two color options - Slate / Niner Red and Arctic White / Green Niner. The cable routing is done for the most part internally. In addition, the frame is prepared Shimano Di2 to lay cables visually appealing. For all who want to use a retractable seat post via remote lever there are eyelets on the down tube and an input for the hydraulic line to the down tube. This sits just above the bottom bracket. The frame is compatible with Shimano derailleurs Side Swing.
