Not only in the professional peloton have the Newmen Streem wheels made a powerful impression with the numerous victories of the Intermarche Circus Wanty team. That didn't stop Newmen's engineers from re-sharpening just one year after market launch. Thanks to the use of the newly developed Vonoa Aero carbon spokes, the weight of the wheel sets has been reduced by 144 grams (approx. 10%). Compared to steel spokes, the Vonoa carbon spokes bring more rigidity to the wheels, which means that the number of spokes on the rear wheel could also be reduced from 24 to 21 spokes. As a positive side effect, this also improves the aerodynamic properties of the wheel sets. In contrast to other wheels with carbon spokes, the Vonoa spokes can be replaced individually in the event of damage, just like with a conventional wheel with steel spokes. The Vonoa wheels have already passed their baptism of fire at the Tour de France 2022 and in 2023 they mastered the toughest Belgian spring classics with flying colours.
R.65 carbon rim
The Streem rims are made exclusively from the highest quality UD carbon fibers. Its shape achieves excellent values in all wind conditions and the profile is neutral in cross winds. With a rim height of 65 millimeters, the wheels with R.65 rims are the first choice for flat and bumpy routes when aerodynamics and speed are the priority. Thanks to its high aerodynamic stability, you can make optimal use of the sailing effect. With an inner width of 18 millimeters, the rims have been optimized for tires with a width of 25 to 28 millimeters. Its hook profile offers a secure hold for tubeless tires as well as classic wire tires with tube .
fade hub
With their extremely slim hub body, the light Newmen Fade hubs reduce air turbulence and ensure even less air resistance in the wheel. The 36-tooth pawl freewheel transfers acceleration to the rear wheel without delay. The reduced noise technology ensures a pleasant freewheeling sound.
VONOA Aero carbon spokes
In addition to the drastic weight saving of 144 grams (per wheelset), the 21 Vonoa Aero carbon spokes ensure reduced rotational air resistance.
Stream AeroValve
The world's first internal (tubeless) valve ensures even better aerodynamics and a clean look. For pumping and deflating, the valve extension provided is simply screwed on by hand. Thanks to the supplied adapter, the hybrid system can also be used with a conventional valve.
Subtle design
With their high-gloss decals on a matt UD carbon structure, the Streem wheels look good on all bikes.
NOTE: Due to the spoking, the Vonoa wheels must not be fitted with brake discs smaller than 160 millimeters (small distance between brake caliper and spokes).
