MONDRAKER Frame 29" SuperFoxy Carbon RR | 2023
Mondraker was born out of Spanish downhill racer Miguel Pina's passion for mountain biking in 2001 to develop modern mountain bikes with a clear design language and innovative performance features such as the Zero Suspension System and Forward Geometry of the highest quality. Bikes that make the difference. Bikes that win! These approaches are the foundations of Mondraker's company philosophy and are naturally lived by all employees and team riders, which is also reflected in the new headquarters opening in 2021 in Alicante on the Costa Blanca in Spain. Anyone who has always wondered where the name Mondraker comes from? It is derived from the cartoon hero "Mandrake - the Magician".
The SuperFoxy is exactly the right bike if your focus is clearly on full-throttle descents in rough terrain. The 160 mm travel gives you enough reserves to master every jump or drop, no matter how far or high. At the same time, the SuperFoxy can be pedaled uphill just as efficiently and quickly, giving you maximum riding pleasure. Naturally, great importance was attached to aesthetics and design during development. This is why all cables and lines run through the frame using the HHG Cable Routing System and ensure a tidy appearance. Another visual highlight is the carbon monoblock rocker arm, which gives the frame that extra bit of stiffness. The engineers at Mondraker naturally know that riding fun is not only defined by the suspension travel and handling of a bike. Maintenance and care also have a significant influence on this. To keep maintenance costs as low as possible, the SuperFoxy has sealed "Enduro Max" bearings and an integrated splash guard for the shock. So nothing stands in the way of the next bad weather ride.
Forward Geometry
The main advantages of the Forward Geometry are increased safety and more confidence on steep descents, even at high speeds, as well as more precision when going uphill. At high speeds, the result is agile, precise and direct handling. Improved traction and control lead to more stability even on very technical and rough terrain.
Stealth Air Carbon
This technology enables the precise placement and alignment of the carbon mats according to the requirements of the respective model. The result is a frame with the best ratio of strength, stiffness, vibration damping and weight in the unmistakable Mondraker design.
Zero Suspension System
This is a high-performance suspension system developed by Mondraker itself. The aim is to achieve the highest possible drive efficiency with maximum suspension performance. Like the Stealth Air Carbon, the Zero Suspension System is also individually designed for each Mondraker model and adapted to the corresponding requirements. The Zero Suspension System is based on the Dual Link Design and therefore falls into the category of suspension systems with a virtual pivot point. In this case, the shock floats between two suspension arms and is compressed at both ends. As a result, the rear end reacts extremely sensitively to the smallest of bumps and generates a lot of traction, while at the same time the suspension does not harden under braking. Of course, the suspension can also absorb rough impacts after drops. Furthermore, this system reduces pedal kickback to a minimum; even when the suspension travel is fully utilized, the length of the chainstays changes minimally.
Hidden Housing Guide
All cables and lines are routed through the frame for a clean look.
NOTE: Mondraker recommends a stem with a length of 30 mm for the SuperFoxy model based on the Forward Geometry.
