Mondraker emerged from Spanish downhill racer Miguel Pina's passion for mountain biking in 2001, to develop modern mountain bikes with a clear design language and innovative performance features such as the Zero Suspension System and Forward Geometry of the highest quality. These approaches represent the foundations of Mondraker's company philosophy and are of course lived by all employees and team riders, which is also reflected in the new headquarters in Alicante on the Costa Blanca, Spain, which will be opened in 2021. Ever wondered where the Mondraker name came from? He derives from the cartoon hero "Mandrake - the Magician".
The Crafty combines agility and safe handling in a modern E-MTB. This bike sets standards in performance, whether going uphill or downhill. The Zero Suspension design, adapted to the requirements of an E-MTB, combined with the 150 mm suspension travel ensures safe handling and maximum riding pleasure. This means you can master any trail! Another highlight of the Crafty is the latest and improved version of the Bosch Performance Line CX motor in combination with the Smart System. Now you can connect to your E-MTB even easier and faster.
Of course, a high value was placed on aesthetics and design during the development. The cables and wires already enter the frame at the front through the headset and, thanks to the HHG Cable Routing System, run completely internally and ensure a tidy look. Another visual highlight is the carbon monobloc headset rocker, which gives the frame that extra bit of stiffness in conjunction with the longer lower rocker. The top tube of the main frame has a bottle cage attachment designed for the FIDLOCK system. The FIDLock baseplate is integrated so deeply into the frame that only the two magnetic holders protrude. With the adapter plate supplied, any conventional bottle cage can be mounted.
Of course, the engineers at Mondraker know that riding pleasure is not only defined by the suspension travel and handling of a bike. Maintenance and care also have a significant influence on it. To keep maintenance as low as possible, the Crafty has sealed "MAX Capacity" bearings and an integrated splash guard for the shock and down tube protection. Furthermore, the frame has a speed sensor on the Dropout.
ForwardGeometry
The main advantages of the Forward Geometry are increased safety and more confidence on steep descents, even at high speeds, as well as more precision when going uphill. At high speeds, the handling is agile, precise and direct. Improved traction and control lead to more stability even on very technical and rough terrain.
Stealth Air Carbon
This technology enables the precise placement and alignment of the carbon mats according to the requirements of each model. The result is a frame with the best balance of strength, stiffness, vibration dampening and weight in the unmistakable Mondraker design.
Zero suspension system
This is a high-performance suspension system developed in-house by Mondraker. The aim is to achieve the highest possible efficiency of the drive with maximum performance of the chassis. Like the Stealth Air Carbon, the Zero Suspension System is individually designed for each Mondraker model and tuned to the appropriate requirements. The Zero Suspension System is based on the Dual Link design and thus falls into the category of suspension systems with a virtual pivot point. In this case, the damper floats between two suspension arms and is compressed at both ends. Accordingly, the rear end reacts extremely sensitively to the smallest bumps and generates solid traction, while at the same time the suspension does not harden when braking. Of course, the chassis can also cope with rough impacts after drops. Furthermore, this system reduces the pedal kickback to a minimum, even with full use of the suspension travel, the length of the chain stays changes minimally.

Bosch Smart System
The Performance Line CX Gen4 unit with the new motor is the latest development stage from Bosch. The drive supports you with up to 85 Nm and ensures powerful acceleration while maintaining a compact size. A highlight of the new Smart System are the special riding modes: Sport and E-MTB, Tour and Tour+, as well as Auto. It also allows you to customise your riding modes. To make difficult climbs easier when walking, the system of course has a push assist, including the "Hill Hold" function, an automatic skirt roll protection. We all know that e-bikes are an expensive hobby, which is why they are highly sought-after as stolen goods. Bosch has developed the eBike Look so that you can park your e-bike safely. Activated via smartphone, it serves as additional theft protection. The necessary power is provided by the new Bosch PowerTube 750, which delivers a 20 percent greater range than its predecessor. The new Smart System is rounded off by the LED Remote and the KIOX 300 display. The remote is ergonomically designed and can be flexibly adjusted to suit you. The display automatically adjusts to the respective lighting conditions. With the help of the Walk Assist, your bike can easily be moved into the supportive push mode. And thanks to the E-Bike Flow app, you can transfer all important riding data to your smartphone. The KIOX 300 display scores with its compact overall size, individual placement and user-friendliness. Reading the data is easy by day or night, and the operation of the display is also supported by animations.
NOTE: Mondraker recommends a stem with a length of 30 mm for the Crafty model, based on Forward Geometry.
