MAXXIS tire High Road 700 x 25C HYPR TR ONE70
The High Road tire is Maxxi's fastest tire and is for racing drivers and cyclists who demand the best equipment.
With a light and supple carcass and the nine HYPR compound, which rolls quickly and still generates enormous grip, the tire meets the highest demands. The smooth running surface is complemented by fine slats on the side. With the High Road you are still steering while the competition has already slipped out of the curve. Perfect for the wet and cold season and criteria.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tires with tube tubes have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube , the risk of a breakdown is reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for assembly with sealant than other tubeless ready tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, like a real UST tube . This means that the tube can be installed successfully on all rims with standard dimensions the first time the tube is inflated and with little liquid. Even normal MAXXIS MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabric is very dense. However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless installation and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.
Note: We strictly advise against using sealing milk containing ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.
HYPR Compound
The new compound for road racing is made entirely from silica gel and is currently Maxxis rubber with the best performance. HYPR offers 16% lower rolling resistance compared to previous rubber compounds with 23% increased grip on wet roads. While Maxxis uses HYPR to reduce rolling resistance and increase grip, the mileage remains unchanged.
ONE70 (170TPI)
The number of nylon threads on one inch (=2.54cm) of tire fabric. Low numbers mean stable, heavy tissue. The higher the TPI number, the better the tire adapts to the surface and therefore has a more comfortable ride. In addition, the weight decreases. Maxxis always states the thread count = TPI in a casing ply - some other tire manufacturers add the threads of all (3 to 6) casing plies plus the puncture protection plies.
