MAXXIS Tire High Road 700 x 25C HYPR ONE70 Tanwall
The High Road tire is Maxxis' fastest tire and for racers and cyclists who demand the best equipment.
With a light and supple carcass and the nine HYPR compound, which rolls fast and yet generates enormous grip, the tire meets the highest demands. The smooth tread is complemented by fine sipes on the sides. With the High Road, you can still steer while the competition has already slipped out of the bend. Perfect for the wet and cold season and criteria.
HYPR Compound
The new compound for road racing is made entirely from silica gel and is currently Maxxis rubber with the best performance. Compared to previous rubber compounds, HYPR offers 16% lower rolling resistance with 23% increased grip on wet roads. While Maxxis brings rolling resistance down and grip up with HYPR, mileage remains high.
ONE70 (170TPI)
The number of nylon threads on one inch (=2.54cm) of tire fabric. Low numbers mean stable, heavy fabric. The higher the TPI number, the better the tire adapts to the surface and therefore has a more comfortable ride. The weight is also reduced. Maxxis always specifies the number of threads = TPI in one carcass ply - some other tire manufacturers add the threads of all (3 to 6) carcass plies plus the puncture protection plies.
