MAXXIS Tire Aspen ST 32 x 2.15 HYPR-X TR EXO
The Maxxis Aspen ST, brand new now in 32" also first time for gravel, is an ultra-low profile tire developed primarily for fast XC use. Until recently, this new tire was reserved exclusively for professional teams equipped with Maxxis tires. The tire is based on the Aspen model, but has been specially optimized for gravel use with the HYPR-X rubber compound. It has a reduced carcass and an extremely low center tread, which makes it particularly suitable for fast tracks and a compact surface. Due to its high speed, it is particularly suitable for dry and grassy conditions, while it is less suitable for technical tracks and wet surfaces.
HYPR-X compound
HYPR-X is the result of years of development work and combines the best properties of the HYPR compound from the road bike sector and the MaxxSpeed compound from the MTB sector. The result: 25 % less rolling resistance and 19 % more cornering traction compared to the previous DUAL compound.
EXO Protection
This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very densely woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other tubeless ready tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions from the very first inflation and with little liquid.
Note: We strongly advise against the use of sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months, depending on the amount used.
